The town Valtice is located on open landscape of the South Moravia. The area of Valtice had been originally settled by Slovaks. Valtice is an excellent exhibit of Baroque style. Originally Gothic castle had been rebuilt during Renaissance era and after that during Baroque era. Valtice is together with Lednice the centre of Lednice-valtice complex, a member of world cultural heritage UNESCO. There are many Classicism and Empire buildings in its surrounding.
